Stuff at best buy is consistently overpriced, and their return policy absolutely sucks unless you get into their rewards program and spend over $1500 per year. Their employees also have this tendency to try and sell you on the latest and the greatest stuff, though I don't think they work on commission, so I am not sure why.

I walked into a store a few months ago looking for a TV. I am not a gamer nor do I consistently watch a lot of TV that requires a high refresh rate. My only criteria was 60inches+, decent refresh rate, 4K, at the cheapest price possible. They kept pushing me towards TVs in the 2000-3000 range despite being very clear that I was not willing to spend more than $1500. I ended up getting my TV elsewhere...

I did this last time up to the max number of $150 cards allowed which was 3 and never received any email for some of the $15 cards I was supposed to get. I called in several times on the support number and was completely stonewalled by customer service with some exact canned response each time that made absolutely no logical sense. so the 4th or 5th time calling back I demanded to speak to a supervisor and after probably 45 mins on the phone with him he also had no resolution to offer and told me he would contact best buy security team to further look into it and call me back tomorrow. he never called back. so I called back the next day and asked to speak to him and was put on hold and left there for at least 25 minutes. I hung up. then I got an email 10 mins later from him saying there was nothing he could do about it after further researching the matter with BB security. so I still never got some of those codes and there was no reason why it should not have been made right. buyer beware. these people are fraudsters.
