It's my experience that Costco shirts are usually fitted to land whale sizing standards. If you don't want to spring for Brooks Bros, you can pick up some well made shirts at Lands End for a similar price if you find a nice coupon.

If your Costco carries the tailored fit shirts, they should be $14.97. The one close to me has it for that price (on clearance). However, some only carry the traditional fit, which is probably the one fitted to "land whale sizing standards" Smilie

wrong. these are tailored fit and fits me very well. 6ft 170 pounds and 30 inch waist.

nice find op, free shipping is making this very slick.

I guess Costco likes to be honest. All the $14.97 shirts have this under "Features" (quotes used here ironically, not literally), while the $17.99 shirts do not:
"Discontinued Pattern"
The patterns look pretty classic. I don't think many on street will notice that you aren't wearing the latest from the Kirkland fashion line. Smilie

What is worrisome is over one-third of the reviews are for 1 star. I only skimmed some, but many of them complain about Kirkland going to a sleeve range (e.g. 32-32 inch) versus previous versions where the sleeve lengths were more precise (sizes jumped up one inch at a time). I think the reviews also mix the reviews for the tailored fit and regular (traditional) shirts.

Still, no worry shopping from Costco / Costco.com because of their excellent return policy. The jackets I just got from Costco.com came with a pre-paid shipment label for easy returns.

Generalizations are usually wrong.

I'll take the other poster's experience over a generalization any day.

You can also scan the 90 reviews for even more experience. (Careful, I think they mixed the reviews for tailored fit and regular / traditional fit together.)

What size do you wear? I'm 6'0" but only 150 (Asian genes!).

Edit: Hmm, never mind, I don't really like the patterns available.

Damn, looks like they don't make 14.5 neck.

Not that I'm too surprised, given that I've never been able to find any Costco pants that were under 30 waist either...

I'm still gonna have to get this tailored but even after that $30 for a shirt is okay with me.
