dell.com has 27" Dell S2716DG 144Hz 2560x1440 QHD G-Sync Gaming Monitor on sale for $474.99. Shipping is free. You also get $23 in rewards or $47 with Dell preferred membership. Personally I used the Amex offer for $100 off $300. Ended up with $374.99 plus tax.

nope, you're better off buying a normal full HD 60hz monitor at one third the price of this. This one is overkill for a console but great for a good PC

Decent deal. 144hz is mainly for fps games though. If you never gamed above 60hz, aren't competitive at fps games and are on a budget, I would pass on this. G Sync is for Nvidia cards vs Freesync for AMD. TN panels have worse viewing angles and duller colors vs IPS panels. IPS panels look more vibrant with colors that "pop" but tend to be more reflective so you might get some glare. Also might have more backlight bleeding but it depends on the specific monitor. 1ms response time is good, but people tend to agree that 5ms and under is already good enough. This monitor is good for a GTX 1070 since that's the 1440p sweet spot card right now. Im personally waiting for IPS 3440x1440p 21:9 Ultrawides with ~100hz, <5ms to come down to ~$700.

Is the Amex offer through Dell? That's a slick price at $100 off.

Edit: nvm, friend informed me it depends on your card. Looks like I don't have the offer. Oh well.

Is this good for gaming with a console instead of a PC?

I've had this monitor for almost a year, love it. Going to use Amex deal and get another! Was waiting for it to go on sale via dell for a while. I almost pulled trigger on one that was in outlet refurb, glad I missed it now

If I occasionally use this monitor for console gaming, will it suffer from added latency from having to deal with 60hz instead of its native 144?

Good monitor for a gaming PC with a GTX 1080 graphics card?

Is there an easy way to calibrate these monitors for the best picture quality?
