Anyone know how the Kobalt miter saws compare to the Ryobi ones at Home Depot, and who makes these? Is service and parts readily available for these? I've had great luck with the Ryobi power tools. Thanks

Small update: I went by Lowe's to look at this, and it is HUGE. You'd better have a large workshop space or lots of storage space for it. The box it comes in is bigger than my barbecue grill's.

And it is HEAVY - 55lbs, according to the box. I have a simple 10" Craftsman miter saw that's great, but too heavy to carry around comfortably. At the time, it was available in cast iron or aluminum, and I figured the cast iron wouldn't slide around. WRONG choice - lighter is good - you can always clamp it down. I'd love to have the bigger blade, plus sliding to let me do bigger than a 4x4 without flipping it over, but don't have the room

Dimensions are also bigger than what's listed on the website, which might be the box size. It's 42"deep, 34" wide (and much wider if you extend the side arms).
