A note for this as a PC monitor since I just picked this up 3 days ago from BB.

I'm probably the minority, but I'm actually returning it. Primary use was as a monitor.

First, yes, it does 4k, 60hz 4:4:4 chroma on HDMI 1 with UHD enabled and video mode in "PC". Just a note, I run a dual boot Windows 10 and OSX Sierra hackintosh with a GTX 970. Windows 10 handles 4k like a champ via hdmi. OSX has pretty bad 4k support, but I got a "CLUB displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapter" from Amazon, and that did the trick for 60hz 4K 4:4:4 on OSX Sierra.

That all being said, I know this might be just particular to me, but something about the monitor was giving me headaches all weekend. I think it's primarily due to eye strain, because even though native 4k text on a 40" is actually decent size, the sheer size of this TV as a monitor forced me to move it away from me a good 8 inches further, which, when all things calculated, made the text harder to read. that, and I think the antiglare coating was getting to me. You can't see it unless you're up close to the screen and on white backgrounds, but when you use it as a monitor, you tend to be pretty close to the screen.

Took some adjusting to get used to Overwatch, BF1 and Dota. For FPS's, yes, it's immersive, but you also lose some of the action because it's just impossible to take it all in. I actually got a little motion sickness at first.

Anyways, for those proned to eyestrain, just thought I'd give you a heads up. For what it's worth, I used OSX in scaled mode 1 step down, which is 3200x1800 (more like 3.5k'ish), and even though text was much bigger and easily legible, I was still getting eye strain.

Part of it is that even though it does 60hz 4:4:4 chroma, text is still not nearly as sharp VS. a true monitor. If you do a lot of text heavy stuff, I'd hang on to your receipt to make sure that this is usable before you commit.

I would definitely vote for hanging on to your Costco product in favor of any other.

How's their exchange policy for TVs? Would I pay return shipping? It would really suck if I get a damaged TV and had to pay to send it back.

edit: Ewww... look at all these sht reviews on hhgregg: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/r...gregg.html

I grabbed the UN40KU6290. It's even slightly better than the Costco deal I missed!

Which one of these has 4:4:4 chroma... And which one did you get. Just wondering.

These two are identical except for the remote, for a monitor, I got the cheaper one.

Looks like hhgregg has bad service based on reviews I've read, so I'd stick with Costco.
