Wow, thanks for this heads up. I bought ours less than a month ago. Used my Citi Costco card so it should be as simple as getting the price rewind difference.

Just came back from costco aftre returning it. Didnt like 805, the entire room is never cleaned before it moves on the next room. feels like novelty item than a deep cleaning vacuum. Also there is no pattern for it to navigate. Need more years for this technology to mature maybe...

Just picked up a 960 today from BBB at $480 before tax, it is supposed to be better for the navigation than 800 series.

yeah the 900 series maps the rooms, instead of just randomly bumping into things. I bought the 980 today from Bed Bath and Beyond and it's great, but it comes with a hefty price tag even with the discounts.

I don't know enough about the 960 but I can say that this 805 model has a long battery life and its done a great job on our single story 1900 sq ft home. It far performs our 650 and 760 models. Granted it doesn't clean the three bedrooms but the rest of the house is spotless and there's no signs of hair clogging (wife and dog have long hair).

A lot of it comes down to what you're willing to pay. For $350 with an upgraded lithium battery, extra lighthouse and filter it's great value.

Just picked up the 650 at Lowe's for $235ish after coupon and tax. Does a good job if I lock it in one room and leave it until it dies. For $125ish more, I may return it and get the 805. Lithium ion, different sweepers, and an additional wall.

Yeah I mean it's always YMMV in regards to what will do the job for you but for the price difference I'd definitely jump on the 805 at $349.99 if you're a Costco member.

I personally regret buying the 650, but keep in mind I also have a dog, long haired wife and 2 rugrat kids to chase around. If you're a single dude living in a small studio apartment then maybe the 650 will do the job.

As far as picking up the fine fluffy material the 805 did a much better job than either of the 600/700 series. Lasted longer and the new brush-less design is huge as far as I'm concerned. Pulling hair out of the brushes every week can become a pain in the ass when all you want to do is push the button to clean when you're running out the door, only to think "oh shit, damn things probably clogged." FWIW the 700 series aren't bad but the touch screen sensors on mine are very faulty and cause the damn thing to go off all the time.. probably dust and heat or whatever causing the roomba to think a button is pushed. The 805 brought back the button design which was in the 600s. Sometimes certain features are best kept the way they are!

Why are all of you returning the 805? Does our have issues? Isn't it the Costco name for 860?

I literally had just purchased the Roomba 805 at Costco on Sunday (Nov 20). Just called and they said they would credit me the purchase price difference (but I do have to wait until the 28th). TU & Rep'd
