For shipments in New York and New Jersey, we are required to collect the appropriate sales tax.

Use CYBERFLASH16 for additional $15 off

I disassemble the laptop. I can confirm that you get one empty RAM slot so you can upgrade the RAM, and I just swapped the slow HDD came with it to a Samsung 840Pro. It feels slow for my first impression, but I did a fresh install of windows 10 to get rid of those bundled softwares. Now it feels fast! Hope it helps.laugh out loud

$250 is normally for an Celeron or Pentium CPU. Hardly to see $250 for an i3 6th generation CPU laptop.

would you pass at 10 bucks as well?

Lol. Some of you expect way too much from 250 dollar laptop. You'd find something wrong with it, even if you got it for free. Lmao

This is cheap for budget user. A Windows 10 Pro alone cost $140 at Newegg.com.

It says 4GB soldered and one open DIMM for ram, on the lenovo site it seems like that may or may not be the case, can anyone confirm if this has one open slot?

Based on my experience, sometime happen at the school. Microsoft offers almost 100% discount to student. I once bought a Microsoft Word oem version for $5 at University that I attended; but I never seen Microsoft Windows offered for $5 at school.

This computer has 4-cell battery that is good too.
the comment you responded to was referring to the os not office

Well, that' assuming that you go to a school where they offer you $5 for a windows license. You can get a windows 10 license at places like kinguin.net for $26 for an OEM home license.
