I'm interested to see if Dyson will price match because they're only offering the v8 absolute on their site. Costco's deal is the v8 animal.

Here's Dyson's price match policy.

Product must be the exact same model number as it appears on Dyson.com and in stock.

Proof of advertised price by an authorized dealer is required (Copy of Flyer or Website URL).

Authorized dealers are limited to Barneys, Best Buy, Costco, Wal-Mart, Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond, Lowes, Target, Amazon, Kohls, Macy's, QVC, Sams Club, Ulta, Sephora, Neiman Marcus, and Home Depot.

Product must be new and in original packaging. It cannot be reconditioned (refurbished), used, damaged, returned, open box, or a demonstrator product.

Product price must not be lower due to an advertising error or misprint.

Lower price will not be honored if the result of a violation of a Dyson unilateral advertising or pricing policy or if doing so would result in a violation of a Dyson policy.

Does anyone know if in-store price is cheaper? Sometimes with Costco online with free shipping, it's cheaper in-store.

After borrowing a friend's V6 absolute for a week, I was hooked. My only decision was which to buy. V6 or V8?

Well a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond confirmed that their 20% off coupon WOULD be honored for the V8 Absolute making the new cost $479 plus tax. Curious, I contacted Dyson directly who offered to match the price plus throw in 3 additional V8 tools (I chose the extention flexible hose, 8 inch wide upholstery tool and the Dyson bag).

So for those interested here is the V6 vs V8 Absolute breakdown.

V6 Absolute: $379 QVC with 9 attachments
V8 absolute: $479 Dyson direct w 5 attachments plus choice of any other 3 free

The additional suction power, longer run time, easier emptying dust bin, and quieter operation make the extra $100 more than worth it to me for the V8 package.

So you just called Dyson and said that BBB was going to give you 20% off (even though they aren't allowed to) and Dyson said no problem, we'll match that plus free tools? Did they need any proof?
