I got this for $124.99 the night before Black Friday for in-store pickup at a Bed Bath and Beyond up in NorCal. Girl at the register said she wasn't sure if the 20% coupon could be applied so she radioed a manager who confirmed that it could *not* be applied.

I just went to my local store in SoCal and brought my receipt in with a coupon and asked if they could apply the coupon. The girl was going to do it on a return/rebuy but as soon as she rung it up again and tried to apply the coupon, the system denied her and she told me "Oh it doesn't apply to this product" - so it seems most stores likely have it set in their POS to reject any coupons for this product as well as all others on the exclusion list. I'm guessing they do this by entering/updating barcodes/skus in the system for some sort of "coupon/discount blacklist" - if you were able to get it w/ 20% off I'd say you got SUPER lucky and whoever works at the BBB that you got it discounted at wasn't doing their job.

When BBB first sold the Ring on their website, I bought it and was able to apply a 20% online coupon (this was back in August). Since it was such a new product, it wasn't on their exclusions list.

I ended up returning the one I just bought this weekend at the $125 price ($135 after taxes) on the old receipt where paid about $175 after taxes. Saved about $40 in doing so at least. The extra 20% off would have been sweet but I doubt most stores will let this slip by their radar.

The *huge* benefit of buying at BBB is their loose return policy where, as long as you have the original receipt, you can return the item whenever you want. I figure, if another sale comes out where this is even cheaper, just to wash/rinse/repeat. Especially if at BBB.
