I really like this Sonicare set, but the Oral-B 7000 set is only $76.12 at the moment. I'm affraid my thinking time takes too long before both get increased.

Oral-B 7000 [amazon.com]

This is a decent price for the Diamondclean, but the European version was just $100 on Amazon.uk and you could still get the pink one for that price a few minutes ago (black and other colors oos at that price though).

Doesn't make sense to compare it to the OB7000; they may both be electric toothbrushes but they are significantly different models. O-B also 7000 shows $96 now.

Can someone explain to me what the difference in features are between this and something like the easyclean? Still going strong four years later

Kohls has it for 161 and a 40 dollar mail in rebate netting to $121. Bed Bath and Beyond has a similar price has Kohls with a 20% coupon.

Plus you can...
Use a Cash Back site
Get points via Kohl's website
Get the 5x Chase Freedom Points (if you have the card)

They were doing Kohls cash a few days ago but that is sadly gone.

That being said, if you don't want a mail in rebate then this deal is not bad.

The difference in the brush heads, travel charging case, glass charging "stand", the different cleaning modes, etc.

This is the best toothbrush I have owned for sure. It was this vs. Oral B and for my needs I chose this. First few times I used it, I thought I just had a professional cleaning done.

Not much really. Many people get the new DiamondClean toothbrush tips and put it on the older or cheaper sonicare toothbrushes. You are paying more for the additional modes, nicer looking design, and the glass charger.

Thanks. I figured it was an accessories thing. TBH the part I care the most about is the same and works, the battery still lasts forever, so I don't see any reason to upgrade yet.

The style of this one is better, but I think the newer model might be a better deal Philips Sonicare Flexcare Platinum Connected Rechargeable Toothbrush [amazon.com] $136.99 (After $30 off coupon) or the version with UV Sanitizer [amazon.com] $139.99 which has the bluetooth and app integration. $7 or $10 more for the app integration and pressure sensor might be better.

I believe that they are going to refresh the Diamondclean line very soon. The platinum one was refreshed this year to have bluetooth and UV sanitation and Pressure detection while the diamondclean has been on the market since 2013. Long overdue for an upgrade especially with the platinum having more features right now. They are probably just trying to get rid of existing stock on this.

Both the Sonicare design and Oral-B design are excellent and do a great job cleaning teeth, so go with your accessory preference imo. Or if you shop on price, Oral-B in this case.

The Sonicare 2 and Oral-B 1000, which both go for around $30 regularly, are fine. The carrying cases are really handy, but you end up paying quite a bit for that piece of plastic.

What is the difference between this and the 2016 model?
The 2016 model is 160ish after discounts applied.
