Home Depot has the 41" Husky Tool Chest and Rolling Tool Cabinet set for $398 with free in-store pickup.

This was $498 on Black Friday and featured in their ad. I purchased it then at that price, and just went in and got my $100 refunded.

Great tool cabinet, and amazing for this price.

I keep waiting on a sale for the Milwaukee one. This one isn't too bad. Does the top lid have to be open before the drawers open? I hate chests that require that.

I haven't looked closely at this particular box, but you can usually disable that "feature" by disconnecting or removing the lock bar(s) that run up and down the back of the box. On a smaller Husky that I have, it can be done by removing a hinge pin that connects the lock bar to the lid and holding the bar in the up position with something. Alternatively, just keep the drawers ajar before shutting the lid.

How was this even listed on black friday? Are you sure about that. This has been $498 for quite a long time which is regular price. I know cause I've been wanting one of these and watching it almost every time i go to HD. But for $100 off I may just bite.

No need to open the lid for the drawers to work. The two (lid/drawers) seem to work independently of one another.

It was featured in their Black Friday circular at $498. Even at that price I couldn't find anything similar on Black Friday sale from the others (Sears, Lowes, Harbor Freight) that was a better deal so I bit. I am very satisfied even at that price, but the extra hundred off today makes it even better.

I agree if you need one than that wasn't too bad. I'm a bit surprise that HD would pull a move like that listing it as a BF deal knowing that it has been that price for years. Shame on HD. Harbor freight has a little smaller version one for about $370 and their tool chest is not bad. I check CL every now and then but it's ridiculous the amount of money these people want for their use tool box some of these "Snap-On" are asking $2k-$10k. I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a tool box. I've had craftsman, harbor freight (US General) and a few general brands one for years and they all work just fine.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to spend Snap-on money. I guess perhaps the professional mechanic would see a benefit to it. It's likely all bragging rights for mechanics. I attached the picture from the HD Black Friday circular for reference.

Anyone know how this Husky compares to the Masterforce line Menards carries? Something along these lines...

The larger 52" version is also $100 off if you're in the market for a larger one: http://m.homedepot.com/p/Husky-52...431577-_-N
