Not sure how good this deal is, but seems not bad to me, model of 8G RAM 256 SSD.

That.

These are just too f-ing expensive to justify charging extra for the keyboard (and in some configurations, the pen also). When the Surface 5 comes out, I'm hoping to see a new Surface 4, with keyboard and pen, and at least an i5 with 8 gigs onboard, for about this price. Hopefully it will also be sold by some vendor that doesn't charge sales tax in my state....

This "deal" has been sitting at the MS Store for a while. That you still have to buy the cover/keyboard just emphasizes the BF deal for $1K for the same new SP4 w/keyboard and bag was a true deal.

Obviously, you don't own one.

I owned the i5 4G, i5 8G, and i7 16G model and can verify the poor battery life. Averages out around 4.5 hours. Other than that, great machine.

Do you have problem with bendable frame? My Surface has all kind of fit and finish problems. Don't bother with the warranty if it is still working cause the replacement would have the same problem or worse.

I jumped on a Dell 7275 earlier with the slim folio keyboard. Total was just under $400 after tax, free shipping, and the AmEx $100 offer. Granted, apples to oranges, but should be good for note taking in OneNote (which is all I really wanted a Surface for). M5, 8gb, 128gb, FHD display. Dell Biz Outlet. Just have to find a pen. If I can get away with $450ish total for the Dell 7275 package, I think I'll be happy. I would have totally went with a Surface if they offered a m5 or m7. I just can't do the m3. Really wanted the 8gb, 256gb, m7, UHD display but that, even after the 40% coupon, was approaching the $850 price of this deal. The fact that I got the whole thing, with a keyboard, for less than half the price was what swayed me. Many reviews, youtube vid reviews, etc. occupied my time this morning.

I never noticed about bendable frame, probably because I never put force on it. My only complaints are really the battery life and not being able to install linux natively. There were a lot of annoying software problems in the beginning, but after time I've fixed all / they disappeared over updates.

You had me looking all over for a Dell 7525.

It's a Dell 7275...

Where'd or how'd you get the 40% off?
