Best Buy has the Nanoleaf Aurora Starter Kit on sale for $160. Its regular price is $200.

I realize that's not a huge discount, but if Hue lighting strips at $70 is a pretty Hot Deal, which it is, then so is this imo...

From what I understand, (edit) IFTTT and Alexa support is just around the corner. I saw a good video comparing this to a Hue 3rd gen bulb, and the light coming off of this dwarfed it like the Sun vs the Moon. Fast Forward 2 minutes if you just wanna see the lights - https://youtu.be/gieaxjKWyIw
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Kinda cool looking, but I hate that you have to find something creative to do with the cord as in the product photos. Sticks out.

Also, as the OP said it can be controlled from the Hue hub, each piece would have to show up as a different bulb I guess, otherwise there's be no way to get some of the effects you see in the photos.

I hate that it only comes with 9 panels and each 3-pack is another $60 though. Beware the product photos that show a lot more than 9 panels.

Never seen this before. Pretty cool. Needs to be a like double the panels at this price for me though.

So I have this light. I do not see where/how it pairs with hue Bridge. I have researched and I can not find it anywhere. The light itself is very cool and there is alexia and IFTTT support coming. But I have not been able to pair it with my hue Bridge.

Could buy another starter kit and get 9 panels for 160 instead of 3x3 @ a total of 180. You get power supply and control unit extra.

No, effects are built in. I share a demo in this video https://youtu.be/j7UxVyYkXbk with a full review coming soon (No HUE Hub, these are controlled in app)

I understand effects are built in... I was just saying that if the OP was right about them being controllable from Hue that the only way that could work is if each one was a separate "bulb" in Hue. Smilie

PS: Thanks for the video
