this an inverter generator, completely different beast than a regular conventional generator

you can run sensitive electronics off this generator, plus the run time is significantly better and further made better when in eco mode. another huge plus, is that it is much much quieter. you can be standing next to it and have a normal conversation with someone. this also means that you can be running it behind your house, and someone walking by on the street might not even hear it at all (another huge plus to avoid thefts, and not disturb neighbors, etc)

I want to pull the trigger on this but I'm just not sure how I would practically use it.

a 2000W class inverter won't be enough to run a 13500 BTU camper A/C. you will need to go higher, a 2800W-3000W class generator.

the guy above posted a link for the 3000W inverter version of this. i briefly had one, bought it from a pawn shop for $200'ish. it was pretty good, but the wheel broke and i fixed it myself.

there was a Wayfair price mistake on that generator for $161 that i posted last year. Wayfair ended up intercepting peoples' orders but a few people got theirs in time (lucky them lol). for $161 it was a killer deal, but i would never spend $500 on the Sportsman

my suggestion is to wait for the Champion 3100W one to go on sale, or get the Wen on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/WEN-56310i-Compliant-Inverter-Generator/dp/B01END4IES/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=... [amazon.com]

if you would rather have a redundant power solution, you can get (2) 2000W class inverters and run them in parallel which will power the camper A/C. then when you're not needing to run the A/C, you can just run 1 of them to save gas. just a thought.

see my post above. personally i wouldn't spend $500 on it.

whats special about this? seems way overpriced.. you can get a 3 or 4,000 watt generator for the "retail" price of this 1,000 watt unit..

feel this this deal is a bit of a flop...

Text on the image says 1 x 120v outlet, but product overview says "two 120-Volt AC outlets". The outlet area is covered in the pictures, so does anyone know which is correct?

Mic Drops: Class Dismissed. I do wish there were some amazing deals on 2,000 plus watt inverter generators though. Need this much to power brother's AC in camper. Would be a nice gift.

Try to think if it would be helpful in a prepper scenario. The best prepper wins!

So this would not be something you would use after a hurricane to power your refrigerator and a few light fixtures?
