I don't give a shit about 4k.i'm not updating any of my sources to 4k. Get over your 4k self. It is not the end all until a majority of outlets are producing 4k content.

Price is okay for a buget tv got a bunch from last year BF ($200 no chromecast) however toshiba isn't the brand it use to be another cheap Chinese brand with the Toshiba name only. Not saying don't get it but realize what you're buying is all

I would say it's good price esp with built in Chromecast..Toshiba is also at least a known brand.

Yeah this is a lukewarm deal.
I purchased that TCL deal in target but changed my mind and cancelled it.
In this price range I'm not sure if there is any major difference between tcl/hisence or others.

No, the major selling point of the One S is the capacity to watch 4k movies. Without a 4k TV the One S is handicapped.

Decent deal I guess. But I'm happier with the 4K toshiba 43" I paid $280 for. (...just giving a little bit of perspective)

Save your money. Got a $300 Philips 55" 4k with screen casting capability from the BF deals. I still don't think there's a boatload of 4k content out there, but you might as well be ready when that day comes if the cost difference is almost negligible. I'm not saying this TV should be like $100 or anything like that, but I am saying it's best to wait for a killer deal. Wal-Mart clearance may do the trick.

Toshiba has hit bottom on quality. YMMV.

Pretty solid deal especially non-BF. Granted, not a high end set by any measure, but toss this in a spare bedroom and you'll have yourself a solid spare room/kids room set for $300.

(For a BF comparison, Samsung 6-series 40" 4K at Costco ran $289, and a Vizio 50" E series 4k ran under $400... but again those were BF sales, not current prices)
