Was shopping to my mom a rice cooker for Christmas, and saw that the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VAG84HY has dropped price in the past few days. The 10-cup version is also cheaper than the 5.5-cup version ($241.65 vs $260.10)!

This version is also made In Japan, not like the NS-TSC models are made in China.

Lowest price I have seen on for it on CCC. Initially brought it when it dropped to $253, but now its even cheaper. Working on getting a price match now

This is incorrect. Japan is 100v 50/60hz only. Even for fridges and washers.

This is the cheapest this rice cooker has ever gone on Amazon.com or anywhere else I believe. This is available in Target as well and can be price matched. This is the 2nd top model sold in US, this has Induction heating.

Jumped on one - cheaper on Amazon right now than the 5 cup version. Hopefully it isn't too big for my counter top!

This thing makes the best freaking rice I have ever had. My wife and I constantly talk about how it is more delicious than the rice served in restaurants. I have not yet used all of the functionality, but the white rice tastes sooo good from this.

Strange question I have...is this dual voltage?

Buying these in Europe feels like no easy feat, and I want my rice porridge!

US model is 120v only, I believe the Japanese model is 240v only.

I like how they started putting "(made in japan)" right on the product page, because honestly, ever since they started making some in China, all their loyal customers are wary about which models are made in japan/china.

When you have a good reputation, why challenge it? For a quick buck? Anyway, this is the legit japan made one, and I'm grabbing one. Thanks OP.

How does this compare to a similar Tiger brand model?
