Dell Inspiron 15 5000 with 7th generation i7-7500U, expandable to 16 GB RAM and 15.6 Truelife LED 1080 touch screen at $499.99 at Office Depot. [officedepot.com]. It seems better than the Dell Inspiron 15 I5559-3333Slv Signature Edition Laptop at the same price at the Microsoft store on Cyber Monday on November 28, 2016 because this one has the 7th generation i7. The only weak may be the HDD is not 1TB but 500GB but you can use the external hard drive. You may also consider using Citi Credit Card for additional two years warranty.

Official Intel benchmarks explicitly compare the Core i7-7500U to the previous-generation Core i7-6500U. Intel is claiming a 12% performance increase in productivity, as measured by SYSmark 2014, and a 19% increase in web performance, as measured by WebXPRT 2015.

Enjoy the latest 7th generation i7-7500U laptop at $499.99!

Incorrect, sir. The hard drive description clearly says "Powerful 500GB hard drive"

For most people's applications, 500gb vs 1tb in 2016 isn't a big deal. There is plenty of cheap external storage and people who care about the other specs will probably be upgrading to an SSD if possible anyway. Swapping the HD out with an SSD would make this thing fly. Good deal imo, thanks op.

The deal starts today from this week Office Deport ad. So few people know it but it probably will go away very quickly. Let's see how long will it be available?

Anytime you can find a sale on anything with "expendable" RAM, it can be "...used once and thrown away." ;-)

Great find! Ordered online with in-store pickup. Just needs an SSD and this thing will FLY! Some great scripts out there for managing Windows 10 bloatware.

Not an amazing deal. Just bc it's the newest dual core i7 mobile chip doesn't mean it's worth $500. Build quality on the Inspiron is below avg. It's their budget mass consumer product (for typical family/entertainment use). I have an older Inspiron and its cheap. The keyboard sucks, and it gets hot. The screen is the cheapest TN shyte, hard drive is 500gb 5400rpm (which is trash), RAM cheapest, overall build quality... cheap. Your paying too much in a $500 price tag for this Intel chip. Personally I wouldn't bite for any more than $440 for this particular model.
