Eufy (by Anker) RoboVac 11 - $176 at Amazon

Anker's Eufy RoboVac 11 is on sale on Amazon for $176 [amazon.com]. This was the introductory price when it was released about a month ago, and I bought one.

I also have a Neato, and I have had a Roomba in the past, and the Eufy is among the best I've tried. It has a Lithium-Ion battery, which very few budget robovacs have, as well as a remote control and an auto-dock feature.

The "list price" of $500 isn't accurate, but this did go up to $240 after its initial sale, so this is a pretty good deal.

Anyone have a good comparison of this and recent Neatos or Roombas?

some interesting comments from the seller:

The description says not good on dark floors, why? We have dark hardwood floors....the exact reason why we would buy this.
Seller>>>It detect with infrared ray which will be absorbed by very dark-colored surfaces.

Do the beater brushes need to be manually cleaned frequently like some of the mid-range Roomba's, or are they the low-maintenance variety?
Seller>>>We recommend cleaning the brushes frequently.

Good price and excellent review overall on Amazon (only 27 reviews) (and it is very new product and don't know how long will it last).

Sold out after 12 minutes. Should have added it to my cart when I had the chance instead of asking my wife about it? This is what we've come to?

I think we're all being gamed. Merchants are now using temporary price reductions to advertise their products.

Kind of a hack but I've been in similar circumstances and have learned to just buy it and choose the delayed shipping (I have Prime) which gives me a few days before they actually ship it. It buys me a day to make sure the wife is on board with the purchase. If not, I can easily cancel it without worrying about it going too far into the shipment process.

Who knows if it causes any issues with your amazon rating or whatever algorithm they use, but I don't do this often so I'm not worried. If Amazon would hold the item in your cart for say 10 minutes then I wouldn't be forced to go this route.

Good idea, I usually use an expired credit card. The transaction doesn't go through if I don't want it to, then I update Payment when I decide I want it. Usually buys me 2 days.

I use it on dark brown tile floor and it works just fine. Doesn't have an issue returning to its base.
