Details

To get a free year of DIRECTV NOW covered by T-Mobile, AT&T customers just need to activate two lines and bring their number to T-Mobile ONE. The Un-carrier will give you a $35 monthly bill credit, the monthly cost of DIRECTV NOW, for 12 months – up to $420 total – as long as your lines are active. And, even if you hate DIRECTV NOW (we offer no guarantees, since it's an AT&T product after all), you still get unlimited LTE data on a faster, more advanced network – all at a better price. All you do is win, win, win.

Doing it for the bill credits = win
Doing it for Directvnow = huge loss, as right now, the service is pitiful (to be expected with any launch)

$35 bill credit for a year if you switch, don't need to sign up for DTV.

I wouldn't go as far to say pitiful. There have been a few outages in its first few weeks after launch, which is frustrating but expected as you said. I haven't had any problems with it this week. Works great.

on their website it mentions a directv now subscription is required. Anyway, this is a great deal if combinable with the $200 port in promotion.

Thanks. As with most T-Mobile promotions, they're fluid Smilie Rep'd for pointing it out.

Why not? Use a different email address if you've already signed up. You can cancel the existing sub after the 3 months.

That is a very interesting promotion. Why would DirecTV Now participate in a promotion to take customers away from a sister company and give it to their direct competitor?

Nothing to do with DirecTV Now, T-Mobile give the credit.

DirecTV was already part of binge-on, DTV Now has just been added

This is funny considering AT&T owns DirectTV.
