Bose QuietComfort 35 QC35 $299 using bonus GC

Posted 12-17-2016 by finalfantasyfan at 07:24 AM
eBags [ebags.com] is giving $10 e-giftcard with every $50 e-giftcard you buy.

You will need to buy 6 of the $50 e-giftcards and get $60 worth of bonus e-giftcard. Since eBags only allow you to use one giftcard code for checkout, you will need to call eBags CS(1-800-820-6126) to combine all e-giftcards to one e-giftcard before checkout. After combining, you will have one giftcard code that is worth $360. Use that for your online checkout

Here is the math:
$349(Bose QC35)
- $50 (your bonus e-giftcard)
= $299.(You will have $10 left on your eGiftcard and you will also earn $17.5 of eBags reward for your next purchase)

Caution: It was a lot of work to combine those giftcards with CS via phone. Chat would be much easier. But if you want to get Bose QC35 at a discounted price for your Christmas, this is the best deal you can get.

AMEX is offering $10 reward for each $50 purchase on eBags. You get $10 back for each GC transaction(Depend on how many AMEX reward you have). This will make the deal even better.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Amex has $10 back for $50 spent so if you have multiple cards, it can save you some more.

with 6 amex offer, you buy 6 $50 gift cards for $240, and you get $300+$60 =$360 to spend, Splender has 15% cash back, which is $52, and you'll have $10 leftover on gift card, $52 on cash back, and the headphone cost you 240-10-52= $178

or if you don't like left over on the gift card, just buy 5 gift cards, and get $50 bonus and pay the rest $50 with one amex card, so the math is 250-50+50-10-52=188, which also requires 6 amex cards with eBags amex offer

Thanks. Updated the thread.
(I used all my AMEX rewards on eBags so I didn't get the discount in this purchase)

You need 6 different AMEX cards with eBags offers for $10 x 6 = $60 cashback.

You said it was a lot of work to combine the giftcards - did they give you any trouble? Any chance they won't combine them?

and there's 5% reward on eBags, which will sweeten the deal to $160. not bad

I combined mine by calling the CSR. It would be much easier if they can do it via chat.

Have you had experience buying ebags GCs through Splender? Their portal page for ebags specifically states:

Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents.

TCB also says not valid on:

Gift Certificates and the following brands (AAXA Technologies, Amazon Products, Ankr, Asante, August Home, Canon, Fujifilm, iBoost, Merkury Innovations, Nest, Optoma, Panasonic, Rivacase, Samsung, and Seagate) are excluded from cash back.

Not sure we can count on any of these portals paying out with those terms written in.
