I bought this TV last week, Love it so far. I've seen a few people claimed that it will boot to chromecast automatically every time it's turned on. However, when I tested it, it only boots to the input you used last time. - make sure you set up the Chromecast function even if you don't plan on using it, then it won't try to boot to it every time anymore.

Firmware updates posted 12/16/2016 on Toshiba's site- http://tvna.compal-toshiba.com/us...&model=362 Enjoy! :-)

Since when is Nokia not Nokia? They sold their phone division (employees and all) to microsoft. When Microsoft divested the Nokia assets they changed the branding to "Microsoft Lumia". Nokia had always existed in parallel to the phone business that got sold to Microsoft. Now the phone making business (supposedly) is back with a holding company made up of old Nokia execs.

That being said, you are correct about this Toshiba though. It is not the Toshiba from years ago that was a quality product. For $299 I bet this is fine though, look up the chromecast issues, I hear this one forces you to the chromecast input everytime the tv is turned on (or at least it did originally).

Nokia is also licensing their brand to others to make smartphones and tablets.
Toshiba TV may very well be decent. My reply was more for those simply looking at brand.

When it has chromecast built in...does it mean, it is a Smart TV?

I haven't heard of Nokia licensing their brand out though...

Essentially yes, It can do whatever a Chromecast can do. It might be less frequently updated than a regular chromecast though if the TV manufacturer has to push the updates instead of them coming directly from Google.
