Home Depot [homedepot.com] lowered the price of their adjustable height work bench from $250 to $200.
  • 62 in x 24 in adjustable-height work table
  • manual crank raises the work surface by 11 in (32-43 on feet, 35-46 on casters)
  • 1.2 in. thick, solid wood top is rugged and beautiful
  • 300 lbs weight capacity

This is great as a workbench, but many people (including myself) bought it as a computer standing desk, see Reddit thread [reddit.com] and reviews on Home Depot [homedepot.com].

Thanks OP and REP+++ I am curious if anyone knows if I can mod this thing to be 48" width without welding tools. Basically, what is the center arm mad of? Can I hacksaw through it in the middle and re-attach it/brace it? I assume no problem on the wood top.

Is the bar at the bottom annoying if you use this as a computer desk with a roller chair?

The middle bar can be attached in the center or rear...see pictures on HD's website.

The shortest this can go is 2-4" taller than standard desk height. If you want it for a desk, expect it to only be used as a standing desk unless you're just really tall in the torso.

I've got two of these. They are great sit/stand workbenches. Made of Rubber Wood. Very dense top. The assembly could be modified but you'll need to recreate the base cross brace. The crank tube is aluminum and would easily be adjusted. But the bottom brace is a weldment. Good luck

Darn, need one that goes up to 48" to use as a standing desk. From everything I've read, your arms should be at 90 degrees. This means for someone that's 6'5" (overall height doesn't actually matter) with an elbow height of 48", a desk needs to be 48" tall.

The design of these benches would allow for sky a 4x4 to be mount at floor level of bench feet and then mount the casters to the lumber. Very study construction. I've got two of these. Good luck

Nice. I want one for the kitchen. Standard counter top height is just too short.

This looks amazing for the money. I wish this was available in 2015 when I forked out some serious cash on a standing desk.

I don't care if the price isn't especially noteworthy or is regular price - thank you for the heads up that this exists.
