If you haven't used the Boxed.com AMEX Offer yet ($15 back on $50 purchases), you can order Boxed.com Gift Card to use it later. I couldn't order GC through their app, however I was able to order a $50 Boxed.com E-Gift Card through the following link and I already got the AMEX Confirmation email to look for $15 Credit.

I bought 10 cards today and all orders were canceled. They said it looks suspicious.

Interesting, I got the GC's already, here is the email:
Subject: Here's a copy of the Boxed gift card you sent!
Content:
Get more for less! Enjoy shopping for your favorite groceries and everyday essentials! Simply apply code XXXXXX at checkout (any unused value will be credited to your account). If you have any questions, please contact us at support@boxed.com

The only difference I can think of, i have already placed 5 orders till now and this GC is my 6th order so mine is kind of established account.

I remember ordering gift card for the last AMEX offer. They delivered the gift card soon (it looked like a unique alpha numeric promo code) but did not charge the card (charge was pending and I received "offer used" email from AMEX but charge never got posted). It looked to me like they will make the charge only when we use the gift card code. It will be great if they changed this later.

That's interesting. I thought about doing this to protect my Amex offer but not if it doesn't get posted until use.

This makes no sense. I bet your gift cards are not activated.

Interesting. If I'm not mistaken, these GCs from Boxed are new? They weren't selling these during the last AmEx Offer?

I would rather use my current AmEx Offer to buy stuff from Boxed than a gift card, unless you're someone who only buys competitively priced stuff from Boxed. I wouldn't be shopping at this site if it weren't for AO; they're expensive.

They're not new, but they weren't available the last time Boxed had an AmEx offer. Boxed just brings these GCs back intermittently.

I told them about Amex offer and asked why they canceling my orders. Reply: "Ok, thanks for being honest with us. Those transactions were cancelled because the E-gift cards are only 2 per household. Going forward to avoid your orders from being cancelled and flagged by system, please just use one of your Amex cards or you can use two. May I have the last 4 digits of the cards you will using to avoid your orders from canceling?"

Yes, they were but not towards the end of the offer period. To test out I ordered a gift card on Jul 11th and immediately got the "Great news! You just used your Amex Offer" email. So thought everything was fine and in case I don't see any good deal in time I can order gift cards with other amex cards too.

But when I checked towards the end of offer period (Oct 15th?) I realized the charges were never posted and offer was not credited. When I tried to use the gift card code at that point it did not even work (they did at the time I received the code). I initially thought of contacting their customer support but then seeing the only way of contacting is by email I decided to use the card again to purchase things. The gift cards were not being sold either by that time.

I did not see anything of this sort mentioned in their gift card terms. But I am pretty sure if things doesn't work straightforward it could be a pain to get the offer credit since it involves both Boxed (reviews doesn't say great about their customer service) and Amex. So thought others should know. Also things could have been changed afterwards. If anyone ordered gift card now got their charges posted to the account before using the gift card then please respond. OP???

Probably have something to do with 10 separate gift cards (I assume on different boxed accounts) over 10 separate orders all have the same billing address? Just a guess.

I finally got around to using the gift cards I bought through this offer and found that two of them didn't work. When I wrote to customer service they told me that they had inactivated the gift cards and refunded my credit card. Almost true; what actually happened is they sent me a gift card code and then canceled the order, never charging my card. They never notified me and when I inquired I was told there was a maximum of four gift cards per account lifetime! Seems extreme and bizarre but ok, it's their business. Annoying that this policy is not prominently displayed on their website and also that they did not notify me of my orders being canceled.

Just FYI. If there is another Amex offer better to order some extra paper towels and TP than deal with this nonsense.
