Come on, laying real mosaic tile is only a few bucks more and some work. It's not too difficult and will looks tons better. I did my kitchen for around $150 total with some effort .
I do agree, but someone who will fully renovate years down the road, this can be a nice temporary update to a rundown powder room or crappy counter. No tools required, and fast!

I also agree that "real" tile is ideal, but these are cheap, easier to install, and get excellent reviews:

"Saves on Labor - The look of tile without the tile man. I wanted a WOW factor for a rental property that was a little bland. This did the trick. It looks like glass tile, you really have to get close to see that it is not. It brightened up my kitchen and made it look a little more up to date."

"Looks Gorgeous! Looks just like glass tile - These particular self-stick tiles have a touch of stainless steel look on some of the tiles, and other colors matched my new countertops almost exactly...perfect compliment. I applied these over older existing ceramic tile backsplash, and they stuck just fine..."

"Easy to install and looks amazing - This was by far the easiest bathroom back splash install I've ever done. Just cut, peel and stick and you're done. And it looks amazing. Was extremely impressed at how easy it was to use and install. Was done with the sink backsplash in less than a half hour. So much easier than tile that has to be grouted and sealed. This is the real deal. Would recommend to anyone who wants looks as well as an easy job."

If you haven't already done so, you might check inventory at several stores. In my area, these tiles are on clearance at some stores, but not all. Definitely YMMV.

These have been on clearance for a while, was interested, and checked them out in the store. There was a display of them with multiple sheets together and you could clearly see the seam where they overlap from about 5 feet away. So before you commit I would check them out in the store before you do the actual pick up and cancel the order if you don't like the look. My opinion is that it would look cheap in a kitchen but would pass in a bathroom. For the record, I didn't TD this.

Hi SJstangman - thanks for the review. Lowe's carries several brands of peel-and-stick tile. Viewing in-store is likely a good idea. (Also, thanks for not TD this deal; guess that was someone else!)

For a renter who doesn't want to piss off a landlord this is ideal way to personalize a space for little $ & easily removable

2nd this!! I remodeled my bathroom for under $500, new floor tile, wall tile, tub, fixtures and toilet. I bought some tile on clearance from one lowes and had left overs. I ended up returning the extras to another lowes for store credit. I ended paying only $5 for tile vs $300

I used this in my RV bathroom where extra weight is also a consideration. It came out great, looks SO much better up than it does in the package!

You could do this cheaper with real tile..but it considering I didn't have to tear out the wall, and put up hardiboard and it took about 1/4 the time, I'm very happy with the pull and stick tile. I used a different brand but they look great.
