Links not working

6,328 1,014 December 23, 2016 at 07:49 PM
I have noticed that over the past few weeks any links that I tried to use do not work. They will simply redirect back to the appropriate page on the stickdeals app. I have tried to remove the cache in the Slickdeals app. I have also cleared the cache on Chrome.

Any other ideas?

thanks for the report and your patience! thanks to the holidays it may take a little longer than usual for a member of the mobile app team to look into it, but it would be helpful if you could share what device you are using, and if you are using any adblockers, etc.

i merged the threads because it looks like you guys have similar issues....same question: what device are you using? it may help the devs troubleshoot the issue (and thanks for the report!)

Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I don't use any malware programs or ad-blockers on my phone.

For me, when I click on a link in a thread to a deal, it will simply redirect back to the thread/same page on the forum.

Here is a video with the bug in action.

the app will not even allow me to copy links or text from it at all, so it really is useless. I wanted to apply for a sweepstakes but can't. I'm uninstalling and will check the website once in a while but my use will drop drastically

Same problem, iPhone 7 plus 256GB standard (no jailbreak or modifications)

Please fix, it's really frustrating.

Hey guys - we are investigating this now, apologies for the delay over the holidays. This is the first we have heard of this issue. Thanks for your patience - we may follow up with additional questions.

Hey Guys - we cannot reproduce this issue as yet, after trying on multiple devices on the same threads you identify, from the same links. In the past when this has been reported it has been due to an ad blocker installed on your device. So want to double-check that there is no ad-blocker related app on your device, as those will interfere with the SD links. Also wanted to know if you have the Amazon app installed on your device. We continue to attempt to replicate; answers to above will help. Thanks!

I am certain that I have no form of adblocker installed. I do have the Amazon app installed with the newest version.
