Great price.
People who have experience using these, I have heard you get metallic taste in food sometimes, and, it's not as healthy overall as compared to SS. Is it true?

My family have been using pressure cookers since ages. I would stay away from aluminum ones. Buy SS it will be worth it. Aluminum ones you can't put in dishwasher after sometime, they will oxidize and turn black.

And with the size, note that generally you cant fill more than half the container if you have wet ingredients while pressure cooking.

I heard the metallic taste comes from tomatoes (and maybe other acidic foods) interacting with aluminum.

I found a 6qt stainless steel Tfal on clearance for 30 at my local Wal-Mart. Wanted to give pressure cooking a try so I got it.

You should always use stainless steel containers in any type of pressure cooker, put water outside the container to build the pressure.if you put the stuff directly in the cookers, it will smell no matter or what. For getting rid of the black color due to oxidation inside, put a slice of lemon while cooking, it will take care of any existing oxidation as well.

All interiors of pressure cookers should be stainless steel and not aluminum nor nonstick. Aluminum leeches into food and especially if you have Alzheimers in the family do not use aluminum cookware nor eat out of aluminum including soda

This thing is garbage. My folks have it and are throwing it out. Please spend some extra for a quality cooker like an Instant Pot

yep, avoid at all costs. it's nasty, even if aluminum leeching into food doesn't cause any health issues, it will taste like crap...

you are throwing money away, stop it!

myself, my mother and my grandmother all used aluminium pressure cookers and pan, we are all healthy and safe. I don't think aluminium really has any health effects. but as other comment pointed out, you can't really keep it in dish washer. coming to the taste, I use both aluminium and SS pressure cooker and I don't find any difference.

As far as cooking directly in aluminium, the heat conducts faster than SS and hence tends to burn easily. you have to be careful and reduce the heat while using aluminium.
