I remember getting this one from Target for around $170-$180 last year and have seen the same deal popping up pretty frequently on Slickdeals. Search the model number KV25G0X and you will probably find the threads. Love the bowl lift although it might not be for everyone. Very solidly built and works perfectly. Plenty of power.

difference between this and most of the black Friday sales is that this is the newer model with the 525 watt motor vs the 475 which was what was on sale this past black Friday.

The model I bought for $178 was the 525W model. I actually returned it because I wanted the pro 600 series. (better gearing and motor life for making bread)

Trust me, 229 isn't a killer deal. It's meh.

Here's the post... $175 was actual price.

It wasn't even a black friday deal ... just a holiday deal.

I got it this year. Does the handle on your bowl say 6 qt too? I bought a splash shield and it didn't fit, though it should have. Looking to get a rubber coated beater but don't know if I should get the 5 or 6 qt one, because my bowl says 6 qt
