Home Depot's promotion description:
"Get $50.00 off when you buy an Amazon Dot, a Caseta Smart Bridge Kit and a Caseta Dimmer Kit!
Applied"

Seems you can mix and match some items to get the 50.00 off the total. Discount automatically applied before checkout.
I bought 6 (two separate orders of 3) Lutron Caseta wireless Dimmers with Pico remote for 129.84+ tax. That's 43.28 each. Normally these are 59.99

Looks like you can do in-store pickup or shipping is free to your home. I went with the shipping since Home Depot's in-store inventory isn't always accurate.

These will work with apple's home kit or Amazon's Alexa if you buy the separate lutron smart bridge.

I apologize if I posted anything inaccurate, just trying to contribute and I didn't see this posted.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've got both systems. Both work with Alexa, only hue works with Google Home. I use them both because each has their strengths and weaknesses.

Lutrons Stregths:
1. One switch for an entire set of lights. For recessed lights its cheaper to buy cheap bulbs and one switch than Hue bulbs. I have three recessed light switches on my main level for a total of 20 lights. That would cost a lot more than $130 to use Philips.
2. Dedicated physical controls. Not only do you get a switch but you get a controller which is great for 3 way switches. or putting in your car or next to you bedside. Hue requires you to buy a seperate dimmer which costs $25
3. Dedicated Lutron scenes. While Hue also has scenes, i find lutron's to be easier to schedule and activate. (scene control works with alexa for both systems) . Lutron scenes also work with Sonos so by activating a scene, i can start a sonos playlist.
4. I found the lutron app much easier to use.

Hue strengths;
1. A lamp is much cheaper to buy a single bulb than a lutron switch
2. Colored bulbs - I use hue in the media room where I light different colored lights for different types of activities (gaming, movies, board games, etc)
3. Room Control - Hue lets you activate scenes from the hue switch or hue tap. You can control multiple lights using the lutron system but they all behave the same. hue lets you set different level lights and colors for different bulbs.
4. Portability - easily take your hue system with you when you move. Lutron requires you to redo the wiring.

Both systems work with other smart home products like nest/IFFT/etc.

For me, i'm glad I invested in both. It lets me customize my house however I want. For rooms where I need less customization, I use lutron. For rooms where I need specific configurations or colors, hue is the way to go.

These guys are awesome. If you get the smart bridge then you can turn the lights on and off as well as dim them with the smartphone app. They are a 1st world life saver at night when you want to turn the lights off but your light switch is across the room from your bed and you don't want to get out of bed, flip the switch, and then do the blind walk back. Just pull up the app or use the nifty little remote and whala - sweet dreams in your lights off room! I highly recommend, especially at this price!

I wrote it in the third paragraph. Doesn't seem to let you edit the title of the thread now. Sorry about that.

This is a good deal though. I'm having a new home built and I'm up to 15 in my house. I needed this deal. Smilie

Good deal! I avg'd about $42 during Thanksgiving sales and picked up about a dozen. Bought another 6. Need to do inventory on how many I need exactly... Home depot is easy returns if I don't need.

Thanks op!

Apologies for the miss on ¶ 3.

Very good deal.

I wonder if other combos might work.

Awesome, I ordered 3 for store pickup. I've been waiting for a deal on these without the echo and/or bridge. My total was 137.60 with PA tax.

Thanks OP

Been waiting for a deal on this. With this, my total lutrons are 8 + smart bridge. Thanks!

Edit: Added some pics of what you can do with a Smart Bridge. With the latest iOS you don't even have to open the Lutron app, just swipe up and swipe left for Quick Access.

Did some light googling and couldn't find a straight answer: anyone know offhand without expending yourself to find out, as well, whether this can integrate with Google Home? With a Samsung SmartThings bridge, sure, since I know that is supported, but I don't want to lose any major functionality of using the Lutron bridge.

Edit: Eventually found my answer in a roundabout way. http://www.smarthomedb.com/produc...ities/p340

I installed a bunch of dimmers but only use the dimmer function in the movie room. I should have just installed the non-dimmers in the rest of the rooms.

Looks like it also works if you buy two switches and the Lutron Caseta wireless Dimmer with Pico remote (59.99ea) and the Lutron Caseta wireless Dimmer switch with Pico remote and smart bridge kit(99.99). Total comes to 169.85 before tax.

The funny thing is, the non dimmer is more expensive. Frown
