$380 newegg price for gigabyte gtx 1070. Founders Edition

$40 rebate by gigabyte offered

buy it now! This is one of the lowest prices I have seen for gtx 1070

I know that rebate is not listed but I have checked on gigabyte rebate website with this for anyone who wants to check themselves I have instructions posted below

1)Go to https://gigabyte.4myrebate.com/
2) Click on find a rebate
3 )Advance search
4) click on newegg and put in the model number GV-N1070D5-8GD-B and today's date
5) put in a fake invoice number and add that item and you will see it says rebate available for $40

I have done this myself before and got the rebate before.

Those on the fence might want to wait. reports are showing companies are overstocked with gpu's right now. They expected to only have 1/1.5 month supply but they are nearing 3 months. So prices will be coming down.

f*ck, is this worth it? with ces 2017 and possibly vega announcement? I plan on getting a 1440p monitor 144hz or ultrawide curved 1440p 100hz. and ive been looking at benchmarks all week. I was planning on waiting for vega or 1080 or 1080ti by saving more money since I'm only at $600- $700 for both but the goal was to get to $1400- $1500 before actually purchasing.

plan on playing AAA games and shooters as well. 1080p 60hz is highest I've experienced.

1070 is mainstream to play at 60fps at 1440p

I want to be able to max out 1440p. no compromises except for anti aliasing. benchmarks seemed to show AAA games around 50-70 fps usually above 60 (witcher 3) and that shooter like overwatch and battlefield went as high as 100-120. or are those incorrect?

hmm and at this price since it's nearly half the price of the 1080 this would be a better option then I assume. still wondering if it would be better to wait for vega or the rumored 1080 ti. I was willing to wait and save more for the 1080.... but this is a good deal too....

If you are not planning on going 4K then this is right.

even better. I wonder if my local bestbuy has this model in stock. have them price match and use some of my certificates to knock it down more.

my plan was to hit the sweet spot of 1440p 100+ frames for shooters and 60+ for games like witcher.

I personally don't think 4k is worth it for me since you need the larger screens and I don't want a freaking tv. Unless I'm going for a 34 inch 1440p ultrawide (which I'm considering along side 1070 or 1080 for future proof)
