I'm wondering same thing. I have a B&D combo like this with a plastic hard case that I use all the time except the drill. It was a 12v ni-CAD battery that is dead. So handy having the tools in a portable case though. Not sure a bag would be as effective. The hinge is breaking on my current kit. If the drill isn't at least decent to use for a few hours at a time I'll pass

$54 for me. If I need a drill for basic stuff like mounting things to wall studs, is this a good buy?

For about 60% off(assuming you find it at your stores for $37 or less), who cares? Even Craftsman tools are Chinese made garbage anymore. But this is a massive tool set for under $50. The value is there if you can find it close enough and for the right price for you to want to buy it.
