Costco - $15 off Optimum Nutrition Whey 6.4 lb

Posted 12-30-2016 by gen55 at 10:43 AM
My local Costco has these for $60 normally.

$60 - $15 = $45 for 6.4 lb. $7.03 / lb.

The deal is valid January 5th - 27th, limit 6.

Edit: Costco bag is actually 6.15 not 6.4 lb. $7.3 / lb.

youd be better of with isolate protein http://m.costco.com/Optimum-Nutri...84897.html or even better, plant based http://m.costco.com/Orgain-Organi...21465.html

Yes, as the last ingredient is lactase. ON adds this enzyme, as it helps break down the milk sugars, which is great for those who are lactose intolerant.

If buying from costco.com when sale starts, shipping will add 2.99...

Excellent product, and a better price than the frequently front page deal of $65 for 8lbs at Vitamin Shoppe. Going to stock up!

as someone who might want to try this for the first time, how long will one jug last an average guy who works out, at 210#'s ?????
I've been trying to read up on this stuff now for a couple weeks and there's a ton of info out there, too much. Brands, generics, important differences, etc.....and I don't know anyone f2f that I can discuss this with, other than retailers.

It's a supplement - it's not needed if you are hitting your protein targets easily from other sources of food already. Someone who doesn't have much protein in his diet would need to eat more protein powder to hit his protein goal than someone who regularly eats a lot of meat, for example.

So how long a bag will last you really depends on your diet. I think the bag is 90 servings. Since I eat a stupid amount of meat and dairy, I usually only need to take a few scoops a week to fill in some gaps, so one of these bags usually lasts me months.

after each workout, you want to take 1 or 2 scoops of whey, 1scoop = about 25g protein. Roughly you want to get about ~1x protein per weight, so in you case about 200g or more protien daily. I personally take 2 scoops of whey after each workout.

It will roughly last you about 1 month if you take it daily (which you should). This whey is good quality, some other whey brands out there will say there's 25grams of protein per scoop but it really is like 18g or so with a bunch of fillers in there.
