Samsung 75" JU7100 4K TV $2049.99 + free shipping with Samsung EPP and possible further discount with Discover Card

Posted 12-31-2016 by mrpickem at 04:00 PM
I been waiting and watching long time for 75" JU7100 (2015 model) and it never went below $2499 that I seen, but I happen to be checking EPP site today and it showed $2299 but when added to cart it's $2049

Great big TV for the money except for gaming and no HDR. Otherwise top notch!

Stop begging for EPP, its annoying.

Follow 3 easy steps and make your own EPP account.

A firmware update added HDR support. I don't know if it supports true HDR by definition, but mine will play HDR content and it looks spectacular, night and day difference between HDR and non-HDR UHD content.

I'm in the market for a new tv but have no idea what the benefits of hdr are. I've googled it but for a non techie wasnt able to really understand how much of a difference it makes.

They also have this one for $1699
http://www.samsung.com/us/televis...u6500fxza/

It doesn't have 240 refresh or 3D.

I'm not sure which TV is for me. most of my use is Xbox and Netflix. Suggestions?

*Edited to reflect $1699 in cart.

go compare an hdr set to a non one. you really can not imagine that there can be such a drastic difference, but there is...

Did you buy it recently? Just wondering if HDR support comes by default now or if firmware update is still required?

Good catch. I have both of these in my cart while I research my fingers raw. I'm not up to date on the current tv tech for my needs.

HDR is the real step forward. If you can wait for the HDR market to mature before making that next big TV purchase — or if you have the cash to get something good today, it'll run $5000 minimum for a 75". Current HDR sets are first generation, somewhat buggy and mostly don't support Game Mode and HDR at same time so you will run into lag when gaming. HDR contrast and color is amazing, no doubt. But this TV has amazing value at 2G's.

I can't wait to get mine. Big Grin
