Drop the crappy flash light and sawzall and for the same price you get upgraded batteries and tools for the same price.

Don't waste your money on either one of those.

Combos create compromises, some that you can live with and some that total ruin the value of the combo price. As the holiday season progressed some of the better deals on Ryobi impacts have dried up. For instance the buy a tool get one, which would let you create a solid Drill/Impact combo.

When looking for an Impact/Drill, I wouldn't go with one that does have the LED lights. Multiple speeds also is a nice bonus, but is not a requirement in my opinion.

At this stage I'd go with this combo, gives you Ryobi's best 18 volt compact batteries, LEDs on both the drill and impact. Unfortunately not 3 speed but solid. With the circular saw too, this combo is light years ahead of the two you linked above, even though it cost $50 more. Well worth the extra pennies.

Can anyone recommend a drill and impact driver combo? I probably won't have a chance to use the saws. What's the difference between these two? TIA

I have the drill and driver set, but my batteries died. It's so much more expensive to buy the batteries by themselves. I'm tempted to get the kit again, but what would I do with the extra set of drill and driver?
