A lot of info in the old thread https://slickdeals.net/f/8951379-free-virtual-credit-card-generator-privacy-com

They ask for u bank info, their legit, read the other thread. 100s of us been members for about a year

Also here's a tip, a trial once tricked me and charged me $30

What the site said was $1 free trial, then $30 a month. The site never billed the $1, only $31 @ the end of the month. So my one time burner card was charged $31. I emailed them and they said

"Setting a $1 limit is definitely a way to remedy it, also burner cards have a 2 minute window (where they will let in multiple charges). We do this because some merchants will run 1 purchase as a 2 separate transactions -- ecommerce and government payment sites often do this"

So I always make a card a burner AND a spending limit equal to the price

Keep in mind that this service limits 3 cards per merchant, "due to fraud and compliance concerns." After you generate more than three cards for any particular merchant, all of your future charges will be denied/blocked.

People have been using this for a year, no problem

Basically u link a bank account, then press " new card " and it gives you a virtual cc number with expiration and cvv code.

What's cool is now on ur bank statement u can make the charge show up as something random like "smileys hardware store"

And you can put any name or address under billing name and address under the site ur buying from.

You can also set a card to a single merchant and/or set monthly or yearly limits...ie. Netflix $10'a month..so if someone ever orders more than $10 it won't allow it. I personally use this cuz I share my Netflix with 4 people, this way they can't order gift cards and stuff..can also be useful if u have kids..ie $10/month Pokemon go

You can also set up 1 time use burner cards. I use this for shadyish merchants and free trials. Actually came in handy last week as I forgot to cancell a trial and the merchant unsuccessfully tried to charge $100 ( you get a notice of declined transaction)

I also set up a new card for Everytime I use groupons $10 off for new customers. I either purchase local deals or e gifts, remember you can put any name or billing address, so ur untraceable

The company announced in October that it had raised $1.2 million from investors, including Jim Messina, former White House deputy chief of staff and main driver of President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. And the company's founders include Andy Roth, the former chief privacy officer for American Express.

Just learned this today:
From privacy.com's FAQ:
"How do chargebacks work with Privacy? Do you offer the same protections as my credit card?
We recommend always trying to resolve the issue with the merchant prior to issuing a chargeback - merchants would almost always prefer to resolve the issue without a chargeback. In the event that you have tried to contact the merchant and have been unable to reach a resolution, you can dispute the transaction from your Privacy dashboard. Privacy is the issuer in this case, and we will attempt to resolve the issue in every possible manner - including filing a chargeback on your behalf

Why they need and u can't change ur bank log in:

I can understand the need for initially providing my banking credentials for AML/KYC reasons, but I feel uncomfortable with your company continuing to use those after the initial check.
Why can't you just use the routing/account numbers for ACH after the initial signup?

We don't actually store your credentials. We work with Plaid.com, and take a token which we can use to pull balance information. This allows us to fund a transaction in real time and take on the risk of ACH. When you change your credentials, that token gets reset.
If we took routing / account numbers, you'd have to preload your account and wait up to 3 business days. It's something we're definitely looking into though as well though.

Why the boa and citi bank vcc don't compare:

1) theyre credit vs debit..ie. Apr,fees ect..
2)ALOT of sites don't allow virtual credit cards, but this one works on them (Google express)
3) most free trials don't accept the boa or citi vcc
4) you can't put a fake name and address under " billing"
5) the charge shows on ur statement from the retailer, you can't spoof.
Basically their not the same in ANY fashion

For example, I made a one time use card for $6 max, for ownzones 3 weeks ago. This way I got that free $20 gift card and didn't have to remember to cancel

Cool, i had virtual cc card generator on my credit union card. Was very handy, unfortunately BOA killed it and free FICO score reports when they bought out credit card line. Tempting to try.

So in order to use those virtual credit cards, at least $50 has to be funded to the Privacy account?

Also if anyone has any promo codes, let me know.
Thanks

Me too, bought something for $10 from a site, 2 weeks later "We blocked a charge for $536.16 from 'BLOOMINGDALES.COM' on your card 'N1' because the expiration or cvv was wrong.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out by replying directly to this email"

Thank god for the one time use thing. Before that, I used to use it sometimes, now, I use it ALL the time

So awesome, I didn't wanna post this. I'm scared if they get big they'll stop this, like American express

Since it creates new number everytime you make a puchase, does that mean unlimited 7 days free trial of slingtv promo?
