This is Heads up as I finished watching January 5th, 2017 UnCarrier video (live stream) on T Mobile site.

Looks like they are introducing "kick back" i.e. bill credit of 10$ per line upto 10 lines for lines that use < 2GB data for their customers on T Mobile One.
Also all inclusive 160$ for 4 lines (including taxes etc.)
So first time my T Mobile Simple Choice plan of 100$ + taxes for 4 lines, I am thinking of switching as with bill credit of 40$ after switching to T Mobile One, will be 120$. Same as I pay today.
Also good for lines that are lightly used (due to kick back)
It will be introduced on Jan 22.

T Mo One all inclusive + Kick Back could make me drop T Mobile Simple Choice plan.
I am also interested if there are any gotcha's, but looks promising.

to Pre-Register for T-mobile One [ ALL IN ] new plan All taxes and fees included go here:

www.t-mobile.com/ucnext

this will automatically migrate you, so you don't have to call customer service and or wait until it the option becomes available on My T-mobile acct management
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Changes after Jan 22:
1. All plans, like Simple Choice will be grandfathered. ONLY t-mobile ONE will be offered. So if you switch, you may not be able to go back to old plan.
2. All *new* Mobile Internet plan will be increase by $5. New 6gb+ will no longer include Binge On and music freedom.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Advantage:
1. No additional fees, no additional taxes
2. Discount $5/line if autopay prices quoted include auto-pay discount (1 line for $70, 2 for $120, 3 for $140, 4 for $160...)
3. Discount $10/line "kickback" if data used (including ALL audio/video streaming...etc) is less than 2 gig/month. NOTE: May not be combinable with bill credit device offers; enabling KickBack may cause you to lose these monthly device bill credits. TForce/CS seems to indicate kickBack can be combined with device credit, but fine print on website said otherwise. KickBack FAQ: "KickBack is combinable with most promotions, but may not be eligible to combine with future promotions." ....so take your pick, or double check if kickback works for you
4. Unlimited data on phone. (note: Video quality only 480p)
5. Unlimited hotspot tethering (note: only at 3g speed)

Disadvantage:
1. Corp, gov, edu ...etc discount will NOT apply to t-mobile ONE
2. Black friday free data line & free tablet will NO longer be free if transfer to this "Next" promo
3. Black friday 2 free VOICE line will NO longer be free. It'll be $10 for both lines in this "Next" promo.
4. The other free lines (NOT black friday, buy 2 or 3 get 1 free line) will no longer be free, and billed at regular t-mobile one rate.
5. Kickback: May not be combinable with bill credit device offers; enabling KickBack may cause you to lose these monthly device bill credits. TForce/CS seems to indicate kickBack can be combined with device credit, but fine print on website said otherwise. KickBack FAQ: "KickBack is combinable with most promotions, but may not be eligible to combine with future promotions." ....so take your pick, or double check if kickback works for you
6. Video quality 480p
7. Hotspot throttled to 3g speed, unless pay more.
8. Applicable to old plans, with unlimited data and binge on will no longer get monthly Vudu credit.
9. Some old plan may have "Stateside International" for $10-$15 per ACCOUNT. New t-mobile one is priced PER LINE (currently $25).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BE AWARE

while i was signing up i found out that if you got the 4th line for free and you are currently paying $140 for 4 lines with autopay, No more! it will be $150 with taxed included, so it's going up by $10

personally i was paying $160 or so with tax, so big deal it went down $10 :'(

now also be aware that if you have smartwatches on SC north america with 500mb it will automatically migrate them to T-mobile one for smartwatches

go to your billing and do the math before signing up

How is this better than 4 lines unlimited everything for 100$ plus taxes?

TMo One throttles down your hot spot, 2gb is nothing these days.

I'm guessing the zero rated stuff doesn't count against that 2GB usage. So if you only use binge stuff, free money back if you don't mind standard def.

So you mean that $160 for 4 lines on T Mobile One you dont need to pay taxes on top of that? If yes then please make me understand the math above as to how are you going to pay same $120 (including taxes) in simple choice plan for 4 and T-Mobile One plan for 4.

Also whats the extra benefit you are getting to T-Mobile One plan. If you have 4 lines on simple choice plan and you dont use more than 2GB per month then why would you like to switch to T-Mobile one.

Not everyone has and can get that plan now, that was only when they were running that promo. The regular price fro SC unlimited is way too high.

I only had 1 or 2 lines when that promo came around and then when I had 4, the promo was gone.

T-MOBILE ONE™

How in the hell is "kick back" more important than a 20-25% tax reduction in quite a few states?

This is promising for my usage because out of 4, 1 line uses high amount of data (due to un-availability of wifi during most of the day) and is throttled to slow speed after 2 weeks or so in billing cycle, while remaining 3 lines use very little data.
With this plan, I will get 30$ bill credit every month (with possibility of getting 40$ some months) out of 160$ total bill. So my final bill will be same or close to same (@ 121$ on my simple choice) with T Mo One + kick back, while Quality of Service improves for that 1 line with more data usage.
This is the theory. Hence looks promising.
Lets wait when the Un Carrier live cast I saw becomes available for playback (or when more details are made available). But for once, I think I can switch to T Mobile One (from my 4 lines simple choice 2GB plan that costs 100+ taxes i.e 121$)

Because if you switch and use kickback on all 4 lines you're paying $120 including the taxes... not 100 plus taxes (~$124 here) and you have the option to use more any time...

I have buy 2 get 2 promo and 3 additional lines and currently pay about $223 with fees - when I switch to this, I will get all 7 for $220 and not worry about additional fees / hikes in the future. Apparently you also have to be on the "all-in" plans to use kickback - so I'll be able to use that on at least 2 of my lines - so ends up being about $23 cheaper per month ($276/year)
