I believe it is $39 a year either February 1 or some time in the fall depending on when you sign up.

Their official line is now:

"Annual fees are billed to a member once per year. The annual fee billing date is dependent on an individual member's join date and membership type, as written in the membership agreement. Contact your local club to inquire about when your annual fee date is."

Yes, but my deal expired last week and also didn't apply to every location... This is most likely the best you can do for PF currently (and most likely all year). The $99 offer will most likely be back next December.

Hrm... I've only seen them do it in December. Maybe it is because I always sign up in December so I don't look for it until the next year.

99% will probably stop using the membership by mid-year..... they'll then save $$ by only paying for 6 months Wink

I signed up because they offer free, unlimited, all you can eat pizza once per month. That alone is worth more than $10.

I've heard crazy horror stories of people trying to cancel PF, they make it really, really hard to cancel. They also refuse to refund $$, so if they double dip you, or pull $$ out for your month you thought you were cancelled....you'll never get it back. Again...these are stories I've heard from my friends that joined and also stories I've read online.

I heard from a few of my co workers too. that it's difficult to cancel our for them to offer refunds.

Took me no time at all to cancel and I had no need of a refund because I read my contract and knew the exact date I needed to cancel by as to not be charged for the next month. They even emailed me a copy of the cancellation form I signed as proof I cancelled. I guess every club (and person) could be different though...

I heard they don't allow you to make noise (working out, pushing yourself type of noise) and will ban you if you don't abide by that rule

I have heard the same thing, there is even an alarm that goes off (is supposed to go off) if too much noise is made, however in the 3 locations I have worked out in I have yet to hear or see 1. The type of person who would make such ridiculously loud sounds while working out or 2. an alarm go off.

Don't get me wrong, PF isn't a gym for those that want to strap on belts and go balls to the wall with lifting, but it is good enough for cardio and light weight lifting.
