The Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II features a 16" 1-9" twist chrome lined barrel. It has a 6-Position collapsible stock. The front sight is an adjustable A2 post sight and collapsible MBUS rear sight. It features a 30+1 capacity, dust cover, and forward assist.

WOW nice find from Liberty Tree. i haven't seen the M&P Sport line at $499 shipped since they were clearing out the Sport I when the Sport II came out.

I am not a fan of name brand AR platform guns since you can build for less with the specs and features you want.
But holy shit that is a craazy good price on a brand, let alone AR in general. If I were not dealing with moving and money issues right now, I would get this. Easily.

yeah if one is planning to mod, it's not really worth going with a brand name value build like the M&P. why pay for components you are going to rip off and buy new ones and install anyways.

the one good thing about going with a brand name value build (presuming you don't rip everything off and rebuild lol) ...is the lifetime warranty. my M&P 15 Sport I has all OEM parts except the grip, quad rail, stock, and the sights / scope etc. if i ever encountered issues with FTF or something down the road, S&W fixes it for free for the life of the gun though i will probably have to return it to stock before i send it back haha
