Hose touching a running engine block is a common occurrence? What the heck are you doing?
This HAS the Subaro engine. Ryobi Subaru EA175 2700-PSI 2.3-GPM Gas Pressure Washer $199 with free shipping
I bought the version of this with the Honda motor. Leaking oil after only one use. Eventually going to bring it in for warranty work. After reading more, it was apparently pretty common. Maybe this engine is better, but I'd look for long term owner reviews to be sure.

Just returned one of these. Pressure hose is made out of a regular polymer aka not heat-resistant. Hose melted when touching engine block - a frequent occurrence with pressure washers. Inhaled those fumes thinking it was burn off from first use. Consider yourself warned.

Pressure washers have exposed engines by design. No innuendo.

Ryobi is using substandard polymers given the work involved.

Yes it is a thing, but why are you wrapping the hose around the engine? Since when does any pressure washer recommend you do that?

Nobody said he was wrapping it around anything, he could be walking back and forth and it could end up touching it.
