Disney is offering "Discover Disney" [go.com] discounts on 3 and 4 day Florida Resident tickets, a savings of $60. Now through June 5, 2017, Florida residents can purchase Discover Disney tickets and enjoy 3 days of park fun for just $139 (reg $199), plus tax. Or add a fourth day for just $20 more, plus tax! Valid for admission to one park per day; blockout dates apply.

Theme park tickets provide admission to one theme park per day for each day of your ticket. Take advantage of our Park Hopper Option for same-day admission to all 4 of our theme parks—Magic Kingdom park, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom park and Disney's Hollywood Studios—on each day of your ticket.

1-Park (all guests ages 3 and up)
  • 3 Day: $139 + $9.04 tax
  • 4 Day: $159 + $10.34 tax
Park Hopper (all guests ages 3 and up)
  • 3 Day: $177.33 +10.83 tax
  • 4 Day: $193.50 + $12.58 tax
These tickets are valid for admission to any one of the 4 theme parks per day. They can be purchased from January 4 through June 5, 2017, and are valid from January 4 through June 9, 2017. The following blockout dates apply at Disney's Animal Kingdom park only: May 27, 2017 through June 9, 2017.

Item(s) are priced for Florida residents only. For new purchases of Florida resident tickets or passes, all adults will need to show proof of Florida residency at a theme park or water park ticket window, or at any Guest Relations location, prior to first use. Pass certificates can be exchanged for valid passes at the same locations. If renewing a pass, please continue to use your existing MagicBand or card. For room reservations, proof of Florida residency is required at Resort check-in.

Just as a note, Disney also offers $259 Weekday Only Pass [go.com] (1 year) for Florida Residents and includes park hopper and free parking. If you plan to visit park only on weekdays this could be less expensive option since parking is included (regularly $20/day). You also get 10% discounts on purchases on Dinning and Merchandise purchases in park as well as limited time discount offers on resorts.

3 Day: $139 + 148.04 tax

I think this is supposed to be $139 + $9.04 tax = $148.04 total. Good price for Disney.

Just a FYI, I had bought 4 day "Disney Select" passes a few weeks ago for my fam, and Disney CS refunded me the difference between those prices ($179 adult) and this ticket since I had not used the original tix yet.... BUT, they informed me that these new Discover Disney tickets had to be used in full by June 7th, which is counter to what the OP says.

I tried verifying through Disney's site, but it looks like some of their pages are down (what else is new, Disney IT sux)

Information in OP is direct from Disney site. But just checked and see they now changed the info from the link (maybe why site was unavailable so they could update). Will update original post. Thanks

Are these person specific? In other words, can a FL resident purchase in advance and then a non-FL resident use them?

No. They will check your ID to see that you are a Florida resident.

Guessing you missed this from the OP:

Still a good deal for Disney, obviously, but sucks that they changed it from last year, where the tickets were good for 6 months from the day you buy them. Now, it looks like they expire June 7 no matter what, which is how it always was before last year.

Please read the fine print. It states for disney discovery you will have to use them up in 14 days after first park use. The other pass for 3-4 days is for year round and has 6 months validity from first purchase. There are black out dates for both.

No. You have to show a FL ID to qualify for discount. You will have to buy full price ticket for non- florida guest

The discounted 3 and 4 day "Discover Disney" is only valid until June 9th (not 7th). The regular 3 and 4 day ($60 more) is still 6 months, so no change technically just that they have a special offer now.
