If it's anything close to the quality of the Helinox (of which these are shameless copies), this is a bargain.

Did the patent on the Helinox ones expire, or did they somehow not patent it? I got a Helinox a couple years ago and there was nothing like it. Now there are a whole bunch of knockoffs that look like exact copies.

Agree. Any one have any experience with these or is it you get what you pay for?
There's a guy who does a side by side comparison with photos of the Helinox vs the Moon Lence and says that the ML is good.

Is there a cup holder attachment for the ML?

This might be a stupid question, but does it have a drink holder? I don't see one.

I have the "King Do Way" version (looks identical - clearly another shameless Helinox copy from overseas) and I've been happy with it. Only used it on one camping trip so far, but it worked fine. The only drawbacks are inherent to the design, e.g. small feet tend to sink in any sort of loose/sandy soil.
It was popular with other family members after that camping trip, so I've been keeping an eye on prices - I grabbed another one when it dropped to $21.xx through Warehouse Deals. (so if you're patient, you might be able to get a slightly better deal, but this is the cheapest I've seen a new one).

I've seen these cheaper versions on Amazon and was tempted, but ended up sticking with the REI versions I have now.

The big difference in these and the Helinox chair is weight capacity but they are a little lighter.

What's with the "leaning back" theme with camp chairs? And with this one
being so low to the ground, it would be a challenge for me to get out of it.

FWIW, I opted to go with Wilderness Horn Outfitters version due to the large ball feet attachment option that doesn't sink in the sand like these do. Bit more expensive but long term, worth jt
