I do not know if the promo codes are unique or not, perhaps someone can shed some light and I will update the post.

1500 lumens (visible in daylight)
1280x800 resolution
Portable
Bluetooth for audio
30,000 hours lamp life

Hard to find reviews for this model, this is the most helpful video I found on YouTube that made up my mind for me. This is a 97 inch picture I believe.

seems expensive for a low resolution projector. I would avoid buying this unless 150$ cheaper.

It is a portable LED projector so it's not really in the same field as a traditional lamp based projector. This is actually $300 less than MSRP for this projector and it just came out a few months ago hence the lack of reviews online.

LG PF1500 was there for 599 $ couple of weeks before, and this one 399 is not bad

The resolution for the pf1500 is FHD (1920 x 1080), while this pw1500 is WXGA (1280 x 800), which seems to be the main difference.

The contrast ratio for pf1500 is 150k:1, while this pw1500 is 100k:1

Other than that the specs are mostly the same

That's right, those are the main difference, both are smart projectors. However the size @ 15 ft is 100 inch, for this and for PF1500 its 120 inch.
Also the HD ones are bit costly, I guess the 200$ is worth to get the HD one.

I have a PF1500 in a light controlled theater room since it released. At first I thought this was the PF for $400 at which point I would have considered ordering a second to replace the HW350 in my garage. I am not familiar with this model but do recommend the PF1500 to anyone in the market.

I have an earlier 720p LG projector - the PA70g model. Purchased right after it came out when Fry's had some $450 deals a few years back. The projector gets used a lot in our household for movies, games and some TV such as sporting events. Mega hours. I would recommend a 1080p model if display of static images is a priority, otherwise don't be put off 720p, because movies look real nice on it (use in light controlled room). And if you have users (kids in particular) who will be using and messing with the projector, LED light source is the bomb not having to worry about it. I thought by now we would have a large selection of LED projectors but the hot/finicky/fading old style bulb projectors are hanging on like grim death. Maybe because there is money to be made in replacement bulbs or something.

the pf1500 model has major input lag issues. also it is being replaced by the pf1500w which should come out in the next few months and hopefully the input lag will be fixed. that will retail at $999 most likely.

this model has good input lag and features and a higher lumen output. personally I have used wxga projectors for a while and while a 1080p would be better the wxga gets the job done with pleasant results.

personally I'm upgrading my pb63u lg which is rated at 500 lumens so this is a nice bump up for me.

Wait I had read that LG was getting out of the consumer LED projector business. So this pf1500w you mentioned, it looks like same as current model in terms of hardware, but with some software tweaks. Have you heard input lag will be reduced or just hoping?

Set to game mode I personally do not have an input lag issue with the PF1500. I did perceive it prior to switching it to Game mode though. I would say my usage has been about %85 Xbox in the years I've had it.

input lag is less from reviews i have read but just consumer reviews. Also i read that too about LG but they are releasing revisions and a new laser projector this year at CES so I can't tell if they are really leaving the market.

game mode is 70ms and every other mode is 170ms with that projector. 70ms is fine for casual gaming but not good for anything that requires quick reaction time. i have a 4k lg tv with 55-60ms lag and i feel it when i play online.

I have played Destiny/Battlefield/Division/Forza series/ etc over 1000hrs without issue since switching it to "Game" mode. I doubt any pro gamer would be playing on a projector. I attempted to measure input lag via unscientific means when the PF1500 first released as requested by someone folks at the AVS forum. I imagine by now someone with the proper test equipment has determined 70ms is the real number. All I can say is I game on the PF1500 for almost 2 years now without issue.

I guess the lesson here is don't hesitate to buy and test for yourself, just do so from somewhere that accepts returns in case you can perceive the lag. My guess is that %95 of people will never know the difference.

none of those games are really going to be affected as much except maybe Battlefield which i also play on my TV and do okay at. it's more for call of duty and other twitch games. if you ever played a game that requires immediate reactions like for example final fantasy X's limit breaks...it is near impossible to do them on a display with slow lag.

anyways those tests are from projectorreviews.com which I would consider one of the few and reliable resources for these kinds of things. I'm really hoping that the PF1500W revision fixes the lag issue. If so i will upgrade again to one of those when they drop in price.

Question about your Pf1500... someone said low resolution DVD content looked bad on his PF15000. i find that odd since projectors are amazing with low resolution content typically.

do you find that to be the case?
