Free month of Hulu for existing users if you explore cancellation YMMV

Free month of Hulu for existing users YMMV. In the process of cancelling Hulu last night, I was offered one free month of Showtime followed by a one month credit if I would retain my subscription.

- Go to your profiles account's page
- At the bottom right, select "Cancel your subscription"
- Selected "I haven't found enough to watch"
- Hulu offered a one month Showtime addition
- After rejecting the one Showtime offer, Hulu offed the one month credit.

Worked fine for me when I tried it a couple of weeks ago when it was originally posted.

I looked at my account and it showed that I have credit until March 11th. I attempted to cancel and got the following:

"Tony, are you sure?
If you cancel today, you'll lose 27 days of free TV."

Under that it said that I have the "No Commercials" plan that expires on "March 6th, 2017".

I didn't go through with cancelling, but I also don't have free Showtime. Did they automatically enroll me in the free 30 day?

Is there anyway for me to get the free Showtime or should I simply try again in a month?

Thx
