I picked this up today, Best Buy matched and I got 24 months no interest. They adjusted the price down to match Fry's No Tax promo code that has been going on for a while on 4K. Price for the TV was $1641.68 + Tax to match the Fry's offer. I've been searching and waiting. I know the LG OLED Curved 3D is now on its best price and frontpage via eBay. I stared at both for an hour and a half and came away with the Sony & an Epson 2045 projector.

The only problem I had with the LG is that I don't particulary trust LG long term. OLED is very new for them and I think kinks need to be worked out. The Magnolia staff said that it had motion issues for fast moving picture and they felt the Sony was the best bang for the buck. Hope this helps, some great deals out there!

Is there any reason why you have to go through the hassle to PM and buy it from BB? Perhaps for the reward point?

I think OP mentioned he used BB's 24 mo financing option.

Read about the bend problems with this tv. Even Rtings noted the bending issue in their review

I'm unclear from Fry's ad... Does this model have 3D capability? They say it has 3D and in parenthesis it says (exclude 4K).....

This TV has terrible crosstalk issues with the 3D making it unwatchable. If you want to use the 3D capabilities...this is not the TV for you. It is widely reported that only the 65" has it and unusually not the 55". I would've bought this TV a while ago if not for that. Sony wont do anything about it....

Plenty of good reading here about the TV as well as the 3D crosstalk issues.

I think they mean to say it has 3D content, but that won't be displayed in 4K quality.

I think Fry's also offer the same financing plan. Anyway, I hate doing PM at the local BB because you almost have to beg.

First thing I said was I want to buy this TV match Fry's no tax offer. He called his manager and she said done. It was "take it or leave it" approach.

Bought this tv in December and it has serious 3d crosstalk issues. Totally unwatchable. That was the reason I chose this model so I returned it and got the Samsung UN65KS8000 instead. This is the best price for this tv I have seen, but I wouldn't recommend it.

"More expensive than some similarly performing TVs, and not as good of a picture as OLED." according to CNET EDITORS' RATING on the same page.

True but amazon will have tax for most. OP's post has it for this price OTD.

" The Magnolia staff said that it had motion issues for fast moving picture and they felt the Sony was the best bang for the buck. Hope this helps, some great deals out there!"

Store staff are notorious for recommending products that are better for them to sell (margins, overstock etc) rather than what might be better for the customer.
