Looks like this model has "HDR Premium" according to Samsung's website. Anyone know what this means?

HDR Premium is Samsung marketing language. That guarentees it can play HDR content and has a 10-bit panel. But, it doesn't mean it has the brightness/contrast requirements or wide color gamut that's required to be a full on HDR TV.

Pretty sure this TV does NOT have a 10 bit panel. This is the 6500, not the 9500.

The Samsung page I linked just defines terms that Samsung uses, it doesn't matter what model it says.

AFAIK all 2016 Samsung 4K TV's are 10-bit. But I could be wrong.

You may be right, but it doesn't specifically say it is on rtings. I was convinced it was 8-bit on the lower end panels.

That's true, this model doesn't have Full HDR 10. It does have HDR Premium which is a sub-standard type of the real HDR, or in layman's term HDR Premium isn't real HDR and the picture quality will reflect that compared to a Real HDR 10 Set.

You're wrong in this respect. This is the curved version of the KU6300, it has been proven by rtings.com that it does have a 10 bit panel, but not a wide color gamut. Because of this the TV is not really full HDR.
