I've burned every Visa my wife and I have on this deal, but fingers crossed it's still around when the next batch of Staples rebates arrive. Big Grin

When I was a kid, the Regal Cinema used to be the high class local theater. Went to it recently, having not been to any theater in 15 years, it's now an AMC theater... and it was awful (sound was really mis-tuned e.g. loud scenes FAR too loud etc, think the picture was meh and lighting wasn't dark enough but I have nothing to compare to so idk).

Makes me sad.

I guess you didn't miss it much if you haven't gone in 15 years. Now you remember why. Same here. Why pay ridiculous prices when you get a better experience at home.

Price is not why I hadn't/haven't gone to the movies in the 15+ years I didn't. Every time I've gone to the movies - even this last time - someone else has paid for me.

Just not a big movie guy I guess, but the movies/theaters were a cool thing to do as a kid. Went recently because someone offered and I was curious to see how "the movies"/theaters improved now (unfortunately, I think I got a lemon experience).

Not bad. Register both my visa cards, use 1 card for a ticket and another on popcorn and pop, and essentially get $20 back for another time.

Regal is a f**king scam. You pay $15-$18 for a movie. It turns out to be a screen barely bigger than your phone's screen. The sound it either too loud or too soft. But, around here, that's all we got...a f**king monopoly. I have never gone to a regal theater and not come out feeling like I was scammed. Now they have this bulllsh*t RPX experience. Suppsed to be an experience like none other. But, in reality you pay a premium and get nothing special in return. My biggest beef is the size of the screens.
Both of my local Regals are $11.xx as is the AMC. The Carmikes are $10. However, I've been getting Regal tickets for free or at 50% off for the last 3 years via various deals so I'm not complaining about the price.
