FreedomPop Question about Switching Networks

kaykatz 608 January 21, 2017 at 11:46 PM
FP user since 2015. Original phone on Sprint network. Is is possible to move account to BYOD? Assume I have to buy a GSM SIM card; then what? Is there a charge to switch? Thanks in advance for the info.

I'm a bit confused with the question, but if you have a Sprint phone and want to BYOD to FreedomPop then you do need a Sprint LTE SIM to get LTE.

The Global SIM and Zoom SIM (GSM) can be used in any phones with GSM Support. Just pop into the device in question if it is unlocked and supports GSM.

I no longer want to use the Sprint network and would like to switch my account to the GSM network. Is that possible? I am assuming that I have to buy GSM phone plus GSM card then call them to switch account over? Is there charge to switch networks? Hope that's clearer.
