Is it solely my perspective or is 'Newegg's 16th Anniversary Sale' kind of pitiful? This SATA controller and the Norton are the only ones that approximate deals to me. And this is not great since the controller has recently been FAR. Maybe if I can figure out a use for the DB9 that a simple USB serial cable can't do better my view might change...

On the new Newegg rebate system, does anyone know the correct numbers to put into the rebate form in the field "Order/Invoice Number" since Newegg issues different order and invoice numbers for the same purchase?

For example, on Order #1234 I have invoice #ABCD. In the "Order/Invoice Number" field on the rebate form are they looking for "1234," "ABCD," or "1234/ABCD?"

Thanks in advance.

What is the current use of DB9 in consumer PC applications? I am surprised to see this still being sold.

Yeah, I was confused regarding this also, since they are not clear in regards to this. I have been putting it as 1234/ABCD and it has been going through fine.

I'm also curious as hell but I'm not sure there's a satisfying answer out there. Feels pretty worthless which explains why its free.

Molex to SATA power adapters are the way to go.

It should not matter. Just pick one.

When you print off the invoice for your order to send in along with the rebate form, it will have both the order number and invoice number listed in the upper left hand corner.
