"with NAT firewall" -- you mean like every router ever made has had? Or is there something special about this firewall?
This is actually the best router I've ever used...and I paid almost $200 for it less than a year ago. I replaced the old faithful Asus Dark Knight router (The N900 that did so well for a few years) and I have to say. The range is fantastic...I have a pretty spread out house, and this bulls its way all over the house.

The app is great, too. You can prioritize devices, you can terminate access to devices, you can check your internet speed.

And like was said, it will work with the google wifi mesh routers.

My stand would be you're better off buying one of these and then getting a google wifi single than you'd be with a couple of the google wifi routers alone.
You beat me to it.

This NAT firewall they're talking about must be cutting-edge technology. </sarcasm>

Thanks for this posting. I've been researching mesh routers for the last couple of weeks and had my eye on this as an option, with the thought of eventually adding Google Wifi's as additional points.

The question I have for anyone that may know - is the wi-fi range on this better or the same as Google Wi-fi? I've been researching for a while and can't find an answer. Maybe someone here has experience with both?

A very expensive one but it should be more than capable. Other than style, why would you choose this over say a Nighthawk or another such type? They retail at nearly the same price and the fact it doesn't have more LAN ports is kind of a pain?

I picked this up from target for $50. Trying to figure out what to do with it. I already have a RT-AC88U as my primary router. Any ideas?

You can use it as a bridge but then it will be like any other router. It works better if you use that as a primary.

If you have no plans of making it primary, I will buy it from you if you don't need it😀

I'm assuming my RT-AC88U would have better overall range? With that being said I really want to go the mesh route!

If you want to go Mesh route, you need more than 1 OnHub router or more than 1 Google Wifi Routers. AC88U should have more range and capability if you are going to use solo
