Why is this a good deal?
A similar setup from Dell directly will run $2,049.99 with the only difference being the updated Kaby Lake processor. This exact same setup through Dell Outlet only saves $90 over this listing and you don't have to worry about shipping or the fact it's a refurb. I agree that few people may get use out of it, but that doesn't seem to hold anybody else back from posting.

Too many haters lately. Maybe he wants it to be $500 to call it a good deal?

Ugh, this is so tempting. I've been interested in a new gaming laptop for a while and have passed on worse deals since looking last summer. Unless you must have a 2K or 4K screen, this is pretty outstanding -- probably better than Black Friday pricing. I mean: $1500 for a premium 1070-equipped laptop?! I completely agree re. Skylake vs Kably Lake CPU; it doesn't matter.

Would the 10% off coupon floating around work with this laptop?

Can save a few hundred more by buying open box. Given that it's from a B&M store and can be returned if there are any issues,it may be worth it if available near you.

I just wish it could be had without drives or OS. I rip out OEM drives and stick them on a shelf until the day I sell the unit. It's just a waste for anyone migrating/upgrading.

Very tempting...debating whether I wanna go with this monster or the 13" oled version. Wonder if Bestbuy will ever carry a model instore so I can see how nice that oled screen is.

So much pink. Can you change or omit the coloring? I'd feel like a douche whipping this thing out at the office.

Wow price tanked quickly. This config was around $1700 just a few weeks ago. I went with the 15" though. This monster is so big and heavy I may as well spend the money on a full desktop rig. The 15" is still somewhat portable although still bigger than a typical 15"er

I bought an Alienware couple months ago and the plastic enclosure is cracking and breaking apart from light usage. I would avoid this Alienware they are manufactured in China now. I used to like them for their quality but not anymore.
