PSA Sears Kmart Shop Your Way Hacked

I received notification this morning stating my email addresses have been changed for Sears, Kmart and Shopyourway.

I would suggest you login and delete any stored cc info immediately and update your password. They told me they are aware and getting many calls about the issue.

Update 2/1/17:
On 1/30/17 (3 days after I started calling and emailing SYW), someone drained my points for a fraudulent order. I only discovered this due to my persistence in calling them as I still could not access my account.

I found out partly by luck that if you go to create a new account and then click on you already have an account, that may get you back in by merging the 2 into your new email and pw you create while doing this trick. It worked for me. The Supervisor advised me to create a new account and call back to SYW to have them merge it.
I had one CC linked to it which I deleted immediately. The Sup called UPS to have them route the fraud order back to them. Once it is returned they say my points will be credited back. I am not holding my breath, but I finally made progress!
I HATE YOU SYW!

Their phone system is as bad as it gets trying to get to a human. Then the poorly versed in English foreign CSR's suck at helping you. I had to ask 3 times to be transferred to a Sup after the guy I spoke to on the latest call (George - yeah don't church it up Hor-hey) kept acting like he was helping me, but we were getting nowhere slowly - he was an idiot. He asked why I wanted a Sup. I told him why, then he ignored me and kept trying to help poorly, I asked again, but he said he was helping me fine. I said I record my calls just like you do and I INSIST on speaking to a Sup now. Finally he got one who also was not a native to the US. I somehow worked with her well enough to get to a point after we hung up to make a 50:50 guess at how to proceed.

DW told me she was proud at how I maintained my composure, especially after 4 days and maybe 8 phone calls and an email that still remains unanswered on day 3 since I sent it.

Please see wiki for some helpful advice.

Instructions to get cancellation or package returned to Sears:
1) Call 1- 800-311-4313
2) Say "Representative" three times to the automated machine. Just keep repeating.
3) Ask the representative to cancel the order (if it's early enough)
4) If it has already shipped ask representative to call UPS and request "Return To Sender"
5) If frontline rep doesn't help with UPS, ask for a supervisor to call UPS
6) Check tracking number again on UPS website and make sure it updates to say "Return to Sender Requested"
7) Sit back and wait for refund or Call ShopYourway if you're in a hurry.

One warning about delivery dates is that the sears email said my order would be delivered in 2 weeks. Once it shipped, UPS stated it would be delivered in 24 hours. So, stay on top of the tracking. Once the package is in UPS hands, get on top of that 1-800 line and get them to call UPS before the scam artist gets away with stealing.

I tried the cancellation route with sears, but it seems like they are powerless to cancel items. Unless it says "Cancelled" on the order, you should expect it will ship out. That is when you have to pay attention to UPS tracking.

You can try contacting Shopyourway to let them know, but they say it will take 3 to 5 days. That's much too late as the scam artist will have gotten away with it by then.

Change your password and pin obviously. Call Shopyourway if they changed email addresses on you.

If you had to re-enroll and joined a new email to your original email address as mentioned in the thread.

Shopyourway workaround if email changed from your original SYW account to keep getting notifications at the new email.

• Login @ www.shopyourway.com
• Click on your profile picture (top right).
• Click on top line "Hi "your name" your membership number xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-(last four) & PIN"
• Popup with your card showing full account number (not pin though) appears. Copy your acct number to clipboard.
• Click on the X on the popup of your card to close it.
• Click on edit your card number (top edit option – not the pin edit)
• Enter same card number.

This pushes through the email associated with SYW to the Sears and Kmart sites. You should now get email notifications properly.

Lucky you. My pw won't work and I still can't get through the process of changing it without errors. FUBAR.

Somebody hacked into my SYWR/Kmart account and stole my points to order a $170 drone last week. Since then, I have gotten the email in OP twice. I think the thief has been trying to see why the package hasn't been delivered to his address in Delaware. I live in Indiana. I have to change my password twice.

I just called them again. When they changed my email back to the correct one, the activation link still would not let me change pw or login. Even though it said it was activated, still can't login or change pw.

So just called them again and had them change to an alternate email of mine and no activation link has been sent to the alt email and no notification sent to my orig email of the latest change. I will be emailing tech support when I get home.

Latest round of idiocy: They mistyped my alternate email address, so never got a link to verify it. I I did get the tip off in my original email that it was changed again which explained this. On the phone again for I believe round 5 or maybe 6. For most, it will probably be fixed easier - at least I hope so.
Serenity now!

Some people think it is correct to TD PSA's containing bad news, simply because it is bad news. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Same thing happened to me. I reported it within an hour of the fraudulent order being placed, and was assured that the order wouldn't ship, but it did anyway a few days later. Customer service was completely useless. I called them everyday, spoke with several CS reps from SYWR, Sears, and Online Solutions telling them my account was hacked and points stolen, but no one could do anything. They just kept reading from a script and telling me that they're looking into it. It was a nightmare to say the least.

Eventually, one of my emails got through and someone was willing to help. Let me warn everyone though, it wasn't easy.

The fraudulent order was being shipped to 600 Markley St. Port Reading, NJ 07064
This address is a warehouse that's known to receive fraudulent purchases and ships them overseas.

True! I always post PSA's/HU's in DT now, so that wasn't the case here at least.

Yet some of the PSA's/HU's get posted in HD get huge TU's and stay there for a long time. It is at the mods' discretion.

bulbbulbbulbThey won't create a PSA/HU Forum though, so my stance is live and let live! I put in "Deal Alerts" for PSA and HU's, so I can be alerted to them regardless.

Updated 2/1/17: I finally made progress last night and updated the OP with details.
